respond personally....always vocationally.
Have success stories in your head ......be ready to sell yourself.
Know
what you want ... don't say you'll take anything.
Know what kind of work excites you.
Research the prospective company or employer.
Discuss experiences which relate directly to the position you
are seeking.
Be honest and direct as possible.
Dress appropriately. Arrive on time. Bring any pertinent information
hey may be seeking. (Resume, SSN, References etc...)
Know what your minimum acceptable salary would be.
Develop a positive attitude about previous employment.
Appropriate body language, posture, gestures, and voice tone
are important.
If you are interested in the position, always follow-up with
a "Thank You" letter.
Conduct yourself from a position of strength, try to remain
at ease, be CONFIDENT!
Prepare questions about salary, benefits, work schedules, travel,
special situations, advancement, etc... to ask the interviewer.
Be prepared for personal questions regarding marital status,
children, child care, and time management. Decide in advance
how you want to respond.
